Mason City Modular Case Study

Sector: Education

Size: 19,040 sq. ft.

Project:  Mason City School District

Location: Mason, OH.

Challenge:

Mason City School had an urgent need for additional classroom space during their renovation for their main school. Mason City SD received state funding but needed assistance in the process. They also needed a solution that would include design, be sensitive to their budgetary constraints and be a total turn-key project.

Solution:

A modular approach was selected because it allowed the school district to lease buildings for a short period of time. Innovative Modular Solutions was chosen for our ability to meet the needs of our customer as well as assist in obtaining their funding needs and coordination with the township to get permits and approval. IMS provided temporary buildings which included 18 classrooms and restrooms. Because IMS was able to utilize our large stock fleet of buildings, we were able to provide a large number of classrooms to be used for a short period of time, a 1 year lease.  IMS was able to match the aesthetics of their existing school to create a cohesive look. Ramps and canopies were also added for additional safety and cover from the elements, which allowed students and staff to move from class to class or from the modular to the main buildings with ease and efficiency.
